For example, yesterday she was out doing some shopping and came across a store that was having a clearance on all their patio furniture to make way for fall season merchandise. We're in desperate need of such furniture for our garden and we've been waiting for a "big sale." She found a set she liked. It's a five-piece ensemble that includes four comfortable chairs and a table with a small fire pit, which will be useful when our cold Vegas winter arrives (shut up...it gets cold here). The regular price for the set was more than $400 and it was on sale for $199.
Unfortunately, upon inquiring she learned that the only set left in stock was the floor model. Using her power of persuasion, HotMomma got them to knock another $30 off the price. Now we have nice new five-piece set of patio furniture that only cost $169. I picked it up in the evening and set it up in our garden. It looks great. The purchase was just in time too as we're having company over for dinner tonight. It'll be nice to sit out there just after the sun goes down and the heat subsides.I wish I was as skilled in the art of haggling as HotMomma. Although I think being pregnant helps. Either way, she's awesome.
